Youth Counselling: Support That Understands Both Worlds
A safe, non-judgemental space for teens and young adults navigating identity, faith, and family.
- Free 15-minute consultation first
- Covered by most benefits plans
- Online, evenings and weekends
In short: Youth counselling is counselling designed for teens and young adults navigating identity, faith, family expectations, school stress, and mental health challenges, delivered by a Muslim counsellor who understands what it means to grow up Muslim in Canada, balancing deen, culture, and modern life. Online sessions across Canada, 50 minutes, $175, with student health plan and insurance coverage available.
Young Muslims face unique pressures: navigating identity, faith, family, and the world around them, often feeling caught between cultures. Our youth counselling provides a safe, non-judgemental space for teens and young adults to explore their challenges with a counsellor who understands their cultural and Islamic identity, because many of our counsellors lived it themselves.
You don't need to be in crisis to deserve support.
- Anxiety, depression, and overwhelm
- Identity questions: cultural, religious, and personal
- Family conflict and communication with parents
- School and university stress, perfectionism, burnout
- Friendships, social pressures, and belonging
- Islamophobia and discrimination experiences
- Self-esteem and confidence
The Islamic perspective
Our youth counsellors don't lecture, they listen. They understand the push and pull between home expectations and the wider world, and they create a space where young people can be honest about their struggles and their questions, including questions about faith, without fear of judgment or reporting back to parents.

Questions before you start
A non-profit, trusted by our community
A Zakat-eligible non-profit recognized by the Canadian Council of Imams and AMJA. More than 2,000 people reached out to us last year.
Will you tell my parents what I share?
Sessions are confidential. For minors, counsellors explain confidentiality and its limits (safety concerns) clearly at the start, to both the young person and parents, so everyone knows where they stand. Trust is the foundation of the work.
What ages do you work with?
Our youth counselling typically serves ages 12 through the mid-20s. The matching process pairs younger teens with counsellors experienced in adolescent work.
I'm a parent worried about my teen, how do I start?
Fill out our matching form on your teen's behalf or book a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your concerns. We'll help you find an approach your teen will actually engage with.
Are sessions covered by student health plans?
Often, yes. University and college plans commonly cover Registered Psychotherapists or Social Workers, and we partner with several universities. We'll help you verify coverage.
