Khaled brings a rare combination of emotional depth, cross-cultural sensitivity, and decades of human-centered leadership to his role as a Therapist Intern at Canadian Muslim Counselling.
After more than 25 years in senior leadership within complex professional environments, Khaled made a deliberate transition toward psychotherapy, driven by a long-standing commitment to supporting people through stress, identity challenges, and meaningful change. He is currently pursuing a master-level certification in psychotherapy at the Toronto Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling Education and is honored to be interning at Canadian Muslim Counselling, with training rooted in psychodynamic, Humanistic, Relational, and Integrative approaches.
He brings extensive mentoring and coaching experience across corporate and community settings, along with dedicated study and hands-on experience in relationship dynamics, couples communication, and family conflict, areas he approaches with particular care and sensitivity. His broader clinical interests include anxiety, men’s mental health, acculturation stress, faith-integrated therapy, and youth resilience.
With a developing research interest in Islamic psychology (Fiqh Al-Nafs), Khaled is deeply committed to offering a warm, attuned, and culturally responsive therapeutic presence to the communities he serves.
