Psycho-Spiritual Care PractitionerRequest Consultation

Imam Imran Yar, is a Psycho-Spiritual Care Practitioner, who has completed his degree in Islamic theology at one of the United Kingdoms leading seminaries. Following this, he completed his Masters degree in Psycho-Spiritual care at the University of Toronto. He currently serves as an Imam within a Mosque in the GTA and has worked as a Spiritual Care practitioner out of the hospital. He is a British-Canadian of Guyanese descent.

Imran believes in the importance and the value of talk therapy. Aligning many of the views and values of the Quran and Prophetic tradition to his therapy technique. Along with this, Imran petitions for safety and a non-judgemental approach when conversing with clients. Ensuring the wishes of the clients are not only fulfilled, but recognised, is a vital element of his approach.

“A soul is not burdened with more than it can bear” (Quran 2:286), perhaps a discussion is a way to begin bearing this burden.
