Muslim Counselling Fees and Insurance

At Canadian Muslim Counselling, we believe that halal, faith-based therapy should be accessible to every Muslim who needs it regardless of their financial situation. Below you will find everything you need to know about our Muslim counselling fees, insurance coverage, and financial assistance options.

Free 15-Minute Consultation

We offer a complimentary free 15-minute consultation to help assess your needs and determine if our online Islamic counselling services are the right fit for you. There is no obligation and no cost; it is simply an opportunity to ask questions and get comfortable before committing to a full session.

Insurance Coverage

Our Muslim counselling services may be eligible for reimbursement through many extended health benefits plans. Services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and/or Registered Social Worker (RSW) are covered by many major insurance providers.

We recommend verifying coverage directly with your insurance provider before booking. When contacting your insurer, ask whether services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker are covered under your plan.

Please note: OHIP, OW, and ODSP do not currently cover psychotherapy services.

We provide detailed invoices for all sessions which you can submit directly to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

If your insurance does not cover our services, please contact us and we will provide you with a sample letter to submit to your HR department and policy manager.

Sliding Scale Rates

We understand that cost can be a barrier to accessing Muslim mental health support. For clients without insurance coverage, we offer a limited number of sliding scale rates at reduced fees based on financial need.

To apply for a sliding scale rate please contact us before booking your appointment. Sliding scale spots are limited and allocated based on need and availability.
