Fatimah is an Addictions and Mental Health Counselor. She has completed an honors Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of Toronto and a certificate in Addictions and Mental Health from Durham College.

Fatimah has experience working with a diverse clientele within inpatient and outpatient settings, where she has provided individual, family and group counselling. Her areas of focus are: addictions, depression, anxiety, stress-management, anger, self- esteem, boundaries & relationships, effective communication, grief & transitions, and personal growth & development.

Fatimah’s approach to counselling is one that is integrative, trauma-informed, client-centered, and strengths-based. It is very important for her to create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can freely explore their thoughts, emotions, difficulties and challenges. She utilizes various therapeutic models and techniques within her counselling practice in accordance with the needs and goals of each individual client to facilitate self-awareness, healing, and growth. At Canadian Muslim Counselling, Fatimah is supervised by Omar Patel, RP.
